Course Description

Distance Learning – (Nominal hours 2-3)

In our short course an Introduction to Canine Therapeutic Pole Exercises: A Dog Owners Guide, we provide dog owners with a foundational introduction of how to conduct pole exercises for their dogs.

Canine Therapeutic Pole Exercises when performed correctly, are designed to initiate a positive proprioceptive response in the body, especially when done at a walk, to aid in kinetic function, improve joint articulation and muscle flexion/extension in a controlled way, these exercises represent a slow constructive and/or rehabilitative “Pilates type” session for dogs.

Within these exercises, the dogs body awareness is stimulated and will build and improve biomechanical function naturally. By improving the dogs overall balance, via a positive proprioceptive response of how their Musculo-skeletal system should move, and support their body, these exercises help to realign correct function.
